ImagToText (imagtotext.com) is a free AI-powered image to text converter operated by TMAKER. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

The short version: We don't require accounts, we don't store your images, and we use minimal analytics to improve the service.

2. No Account Required

ImagToText does not require user registration or login. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any personal identifiers to use the service.

3. Image Processing

When you upload an image for text extraction:

• Images are not stored. Your images are sent directly to Google's Gemini API for processing and are not saved on our servers.
• Real-time processing only. Images are processed in real-time via a streaming connection. Once the text extraction is complete, the image data is discarded.
• No image database. We do not build or maintain a database of user-uploaded images.
• Google AI API. Image processing is handled by Google's AI models. Google's data handling is governed by their own Privacy Policy and Gemini API Terms.

4. Analytics

We use PostHog for product analytics to understand how the service is used and to improve it. PostHog collects:

• Page views and navigation patterns
• Feature usage events (e.g., text extraction started/completed, copy, download)
• Device type, browser, and general location (country level)
• Referral source

PostHog does not collect your uploaded images or extracted text content. Analytics data is used solely to improve ImagToText and is not sold to third parties.

5. Cookies

ImagToText uses minimal cookies for analytics purposes (PostHog). These cookies help us understand usage patterns. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are used.

6. Third-Party Services

The following third-party services may process data when you use ImagToText:

• Google Gemini API — processes your uploaded images for text extraction
• PostHog — product analytics (no image data shared)
• Vercel — hosting infrastructure

Each of these services has their own privacy policies governing their data handling practices.

7. Data Retention

Since we don't require accounts and don't store images, there is minimal personal data to retain. Analytics data is retained by PostHog according to their data retention policies and is used in aggregate form.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

• Access — request what data we have about you
• Deletion — request deletion of any data associated with you
• Opt-out — disable analytics tracking by using a browser ad-blocker or “Do Not Track” setting
• Portability — request a copy of your data in a portable format

9. Children's Privacy

ImagToText is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
